Melbourne: We can make history! Melbourne is special. As we saw at the last election, we live in the only seat in the country where the choice isnt between Labor and Liberal: its between Labor and The Greens. That means this election, all eyes will be on us and your vote is incredibly powerful. Instead of more of the same, imagine a local MP who will not only share your values but speak them publicly. Imagine the impact on Australian politics if Melbourne stood up for change. If just one in ten voters changes their vote to Green, we can achieve this and restore hope for real climate action right here in our own backyard. Change begins here. Find out more, get involved and lets make history: greens.org.au/Melbourne

www.globalballooning.com A sunrise hot air balloon flight over Melbourne is a truly remarkable experience. There are few major cities in the world that can be traversed by hot air balloon and there certainly is no better way to take in Australia’s second largest city. In the early morning light our balloons drift by the array of parks and gardens that make Melbourne the world’s most liveable city. As the city comes to life you will look down from your balloon onto some of the cities iconic sporting venues like the MCG, Melbourne Park and Albert Park racetrack. Here is a speeded up version of the flash flood in High Definition outside The Vine Hotel on the corner of Church Street and Bridge Road, Richmond, Victoria, 3121, Australia that occured on Friday, February 4, 2011 at approximately 7:20pm. This flood is a result of the after effects from Cyclone Anthony and Cyclone Yasi. The flash flood was like a river flowing down Church Street off Richmond Hill and onto the Bridge Road intersection and up onto the footpath on the corner of Church Street and Bridge Road. Weekly Times Now article: www.weeklytimesnow.com.au Please notice that for wheelchair and scooter users all of the trams that cross the Bridge Road and Church Street intersection are independently inaccessible trams and the independently inaccessible tram stop 18 on Bridge Road, Richmond, Victoria, Australia and needs to be made independently accessible for everyone. The rainy weather during the video event was a good chance to demonstrate to everyone the reality of how and wheelchair and scooter users can sometimes be stranded or left to travel out in the cold, wind, rain and hail because it is impossible to get aboard the independently inaccessible trams. Please join “Accessible Tram Stops for Bridge Road in Richmond 3121″ on Facebook. Freaky storm in Melbourne turns streets into river.
We were at Amici Cafe of Chapel St. in Melbourne and suddenly it just started to hail! Check it out! Woohooo. I was overjoyed actually. I was like a little kid, but the big problem was getting home after that. We were all drenched and many stores had leakage problem. I blogged about it here: www.kimong.com
